Graduate Students
Student Life
HPER's nearly 350 graduate students are preparing for leadership positions in academic and professional careers represented by the schools' academic programs. While earning their advanced degrees, these students play an important role in the dynamic intellectual life of the school. They conduct research in close collaboration with faculty members, serve as associate instructors, and work in other key areas, such as Campus Recreational Sports.
Indiana University is known internationally for the quality of its graduate programs in HPER and beyond, and students can take advantage of special opportunities offered across the campus, including interdisciplinary research and seminars and renowned speakers. IU is likewise known for the rich cultural offerings on campus from opera, theater, and Broadway shows, to art exhibits and visits by major cultural figures.
HPER's outstanding recreational and fitness facilities support an active, healthy lifestyle for members of the IU community, and students can also enjoy the excitement of Big Ten athletics.
