Willard W. Patty Distinguished Alumni Award
The Willard W. Patty Distinguished Alumni Award is presented annually to graduates of the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation who have demonstrated outstanding personal and professional achievement. Since the award's inception in 1976, recipients have characterized the ideals set forth by Indiana University's first dean of HPER, Willard W. Patty. Under his leadership, the school rose to national stature and produced some of the finest professionals in the fields of health, physical education, and recreation.
