Nancy Friedman Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship History:

This scholarship was established in honor of Nancy Friedman. Though Nancy did not have the opportunity to attend Indiana University or any other university she was by far one of the brightest people to ever walk this earth. She lived life to the fullest always giving to everyone friend or stranger. She read and continued to learn throughout her short life with a quest to always be better. Nancy passed away in June of 1997 at the age of 46 with cancer. Though her voice may be silent in this world this scholarship is provided to remember her love for learning.

Eligibility Criteria:

Undergraduate status.
Female.
Junior or senior.
Department of Kinesiology
Majoring in and admitted to the teacher preparation program.
Exhibit a commitment to teach physical education and present evidence of participation in professional activities as determined by the selection/scholarship committee.
The recipient shall be deemed by the committee to be working to her fullest potential.
