Pantaleoni Scholarship

Scholarship History:

Tony Pantaleoni received his masters in public health with honors from Indiana University in 1977 and then proceeded to earn a doctorate in health and safety in 1983. Following graduation, Dr. Pantaleoni quickly distinguished himself in the corporate sector as an effective administrator specializing in environmental safety. He is currently the vice-president for environment, health, and safety at Crane Company in Stamford, Connecticut.

Dr. Pantaleoni is a recipient of the Endwright Alumni Award, one of the two most prestigious honors bestowed on School of HPER alumni. In addition, he is an avid supporter of IU and believes in the quality of education IU provides for students. Because of his belief in the need for education and his desire to help students, Dr. Pantaleoni established the Pantaleoni Scholarship for students in Applied Health Science.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Undergraduate and graduate status.
  • Admitted as a major in the Department of Applied Health Science.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Preference shall be given to students with an “improving track record”, who are achieving at the highest level of their ability.
  • Preference shall also be given to students with financial need.
