Kate C. Remley Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship History:
Kate C. Remley (1894 – 1980) was a teacher, mother, friend to four children and scores of other young people whose paths crossed hers throughout her life. This scholarship was established to recognize her high regard for education for everyone and her efforts to help others achieve their educational goals. Dr. Mary L. Remley was a professor in the Department of Kinesiology from 1976 to 1996. Upon her retirement, Dr. Remley chose to establish this scholarship with the support of family and friends. Throughout her distinguished career, Dr. Remley was known as a champion of women’s rights, fairness for all, and a true advocate for students.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate status.
- Student in Department of Kinesiology
- Female.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Completion of a minimum of 56 credit hours.
- Working during the academic year a minimum of 10 hours per week validated by the employer.
- Student with the highest GPA above 3.0 who meets the other stated qualifications.
- Full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) for each semester the Scholarship is received.
