Lucile M. Swift - Mona M. Russell Scholarship
Scholarship History:
The Swift-Russell Scholarship was established in 1980 by Lucile Swift, a 1951 graduate of the Women’s Department of Physical Education. The scholarship also honors the memory of a friend of Ms. Swift’s, Mona Russell. Lucile Swift had a distinguished career in the public schools as a physical education teacher and coach. Her dedication to the field is exemplified by her establishment of this scholarship.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate or graduate status.
- Undergraduate must be of junior standing who will be entering his or her senior year.
- Graduate student in the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
- Demonstrate a desire to complete requirements for the degree being sought.
- Demonstrate initiative, character, need and scholastic achievement.
