Lucile M. Swift - Mona M. Russell Scholarship

Scholarship History:

The Swift-Russell Scholarship was established in 1980 by Lucile Swift, a 1951 graduate of the Women’s Department of Physical Education. The scholarship also honors the memory of a friend of Ms. Swift’s, Mona Russell. Lucile Swift had a distinguished career in the public schools as a physical education teacher and coach. Her dedication to the field is exemplified by her establishment of this scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

Undergraduate or graduate status.
Undergraduate must be of junior standing who will be entering his or her senior year.
Graduate student in the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.
Demonstrate a desire to complete requirements for the degree being sought.
Demonstrate initiative, character, need and scholastic achievement.
