Office of the Dean

As the center of administrative activity in the School of HPER, the Dean’s Office is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the school's reputation as one of the top institutions of its kind. With a commitment to attracting prestigious and talented scholars, instructors, and administrators, the Deans' Office continues to build the school's reputation by helping our students manifest their potential and supporting our researchers in their life-changing discoveries. Robert Goodman is HPER's new dean
Indiana University President Adam W. Herbert announced March 8 that Robert M. Goodman, a renowned community health development expert, will become the next dean of the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation at IU Bloomington. more >>

School Administration
The administration of the School of HPER exists to support the school in our mission to promote health and research that improves lives. Members of this office are directly responsible for creating and maintaining HPER’s many international cooperative agreements, honoring our distinguished alumni, faculty, and students, and maintaining our reputation as one of the top schools of HPER in the world.

Academic Program Administration
The Office of Academic Program Administration provides school-based student services from admission through graduation. Additional operations include coordination of school-based student financial assistance, academic degree requirement disclosure, and recruiting efforts.

Development and Communications
The School of HPER’s Office of Development and Communications facilitates ongoing relationships with students and alumni, as well as ensuring the school’s growth. This office is responsible for securing private support, coordinating alumni programming, and communicating with alumni, donors, and friends.

Employment
The School of HPER frequently posts positions for administrative, full-time, and part-time hourly positions. HPER’s employees are among our most valued resources. Technology Services (HTS)
Office of Technology Services serves the School of HPER’s technology needs, overseeing computing systems and providing technology support throughout the academic and administrative areas of the school.

Records Office
As a part of the Office of Academic Program Administration, the Records Office coordinates graduate admissions and undergraduate certification of students into the School of HPER. The School of HPER’s Records Office maintains student academic records, monitors degree progress, and certifies degrees.

Recruitment and Minority Affairs
HPER’s coordinator of Diversity Recruitment and Retention uses the resources of the School of HPER and Indiana University to recruit top minority students for both the graduate and undergraduate programs.
