Diversity Coordinators

Department of Kinesiology - Antonio Williams

Antonio WilliamsA commitment to diversity is central to the department of Kinesiology’s commitment to discovery. As an institution of higher learning we have an obligation to ensure that a broad perspective of views are brought forth concerning issues that affect us as students, scholars, and citizens. In essence, to adequately research, serve, and educate our community we must be a representation of that community. As the Department of Kinesiology Coordinator, I am 100% committed to helping our students obtain their educational goals. Come join the rich and inclusive community within the Department of Kinesiology.

Knowing is Living,

Antonio S. Williams, MS, NASM-CPT

Department of Applied Health Science - Dr. Kevin Slates

Kevin SlatesIf HPER dedicates itself to recruitment and retention efforts around the nation, the possibilities for developing a diverse student population are well within reach. The demographic changes that are anticipated over the next decade magnify the importance of organizations working to address disparities in health status in the workplace and community.  Commitment to diversity at every level of the institution, on a philosophical as well as a financial basis, must form the base of all admission and recruitment efforts

Sincerely,

Dr. Kevin Slates
