The Department of Kinesiology was ranked No. 1 in research productivity among Big Ten institutions at a meeting of Big Ten deans and directors. The American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education ranked the school third in the area of productivity and ranked the doctoral program seventh in the nation.
The School of HPER supports a wide range of research, some laboratory based and other field based, that revolves around preventive health and wellness. Research is an integral component of the graduate student experience in HPER, and many undergraduates have an opportunity to participate in research as well.
